Morning five: vocational skills, Budva and Friday events

The November 6 selection draws on five of our own reports. From business planning to Hungarian culture and food events, it identifies the next step in each story.

  1. The new EU vocational strategy aims for closer links between businesses and training providers. Hungarian employers will be able to assess a programme’s usefulness through its actual curriculum, time commitment and access conditions. The November 20 summit identified by the Commission is the next implementation discussion.

  2. A joint statement has already been issued on the home-affairs day of the EU–Western Balkans forum in Budva. For Hungary, cross-border cooperation with the neighbouring region matters. The results of Friday’s justice talks still require a separate official account.

  3. Alongside longer generated clips in the Google Vids update, we have collected details of access in Hungary. The European restriction on AI editing of users’ own uploaded videos needs to be distinguished from generating new videos from text prompts. Check the eligibility and allowance of your own account before use.

  4. A curator’s tour in Szentendre accompanies an exhibition about the town in the 1920s. Friday afternoon’s event is a one-off slot, whereas the exhibition can also be visited later; different ticket prices come with eligibility conditions. The museum’s current programme page is the reference before travelling.

  5. Hajdúszoboszló’s St Martin’s festivities begin on Friday and also offer a food programme on Saturday. Free admission should be considered separately from the cost of purchases and travel. Families can plan their arrival around the event they choose.
