Hajdúszoboszló will hold its St Martin’s festivities on November 6–7 in Szent István Park. The municipal events calendar lists a gastronomic weekend; for Hungarian families and domestic travellers, choosing between Friday evening and Saturday’s daytime programme may help with planning.
According to the Kovács Máté Municipal Cultural Centre and Library, goose dishes and new wine are the focus. The official opening is scheduled for 6 pm on Friday. This is a preview: we are not reporting the opening as an event that has already happened.
The tourism programme page lists a baking contest at 2.15 pm and live cooking at 4.15 pm on Saturday. Admission is free, but that announcement provides no information about food and drink prices. The sources reviewed did not provide a verified menu or price list for purchases.
Our report on the opening of Bakony Expo covers another gastronomic option for the weekend; wine events can also be compared with the Kőszeg new-wine presentation. Locations and admission conditions differ, so the events merit separate planning.
Even without an admission fee, travel and purchases at the venue remain separate costs. The offerings on the two days can be compared against the timing of the chosen programme.
Before travelling, check for any programme changes from the organiser. The event pages do not state their publication dates; we checked their schedules on November 6.
