Advanced-level oral school-leaving exams start on 5 November

The autumn advanced-level oral examination period runs until 9 November. Intermediate-level oral exams follow on 16–20 November.

Hungary's autumn advanced-level oral school-leaving examination period starts on 5 November, under Annex Two of the school-year regulation. Affected students and families should plan for an examination period running until 9 November. Each candidate's individual timetable must be treated separately from the national date range.

Intermediate-level oral exams will take place from 16 to 20 November. The Budapest Government Office's announcement of 8 October gave the same periods; the news now is the start of the advanced-level oral phase.

The examination level and a candidate's own appointment are separate pieces of information. Travel or time off work is best arranged around the individual notification: the first day of the national period does not establish every participant's attendance time. If a notification is incomplete, contacting the organising institution can clarify the location and schedule.

It is also useful to note the venue's exact address and the organiser's contact details alongside the appointment. If transport is disrupted, the route can then be replanned using the same verified information.

For travel in Budapest, our articles on BKK ticket validation and penalty fares and digital timetables at stops provide practical context. These are transport information, not substitutes for the examination organiser's notification. The next transition in the national calendar is the start of intermediate-level oral exams on 16 November.
