BKK says it has completed the installation of 61 e-paper timetable displays at Budapest stops in its 30 October announcement. The practical change for passengers is access to information without a phone at the equipped locations.
According to the operator’s statement, the boards use physical buttons and a two-year trial now begins. The announced count refers to installed devices; it cannot establish what proportion of the city’s passengers use them regularly.
Our suggested evaluation method separates actual use from installation. Passengers can provide useful feedback by recording the stop, the time, the information they wanted and whether they found it. This describes a problem more precisely than a general statement that a display was unhelpful.
Checking the specific route is particularly important during the All Saints’ Day transport changes. Passengers travelling to Ludwig’s afternoon tours also benefit from planning their departure time and complete journey together.
The next substantive result will be the evaluation of users’ experiences. The installation announcement does not establish measurable time savings or coverage of every stop, and we make neither claim; those outcomes would require separate measurement.
