Route 28E runs between Keleti station and the New Public Cemetery on 1 November under BKK’s holiday arrangements. Budapest cemetery visitors should therefore check their boarding stop and direction as well as the familiar route number.
BKK’s 28 October announcement also lists diversions for buses 95 and 195. The express tram serves only the main stops. The advance notice can help plan travel on 1 November; we are not reporting journey times measured on site.
A useful sequence is to choose the exact cemetery entrance first, then find the outward and return stops separately. An express service is convenient only if it actually serves the selected boarding point. Nor should passengers automatically assume the same route for the return trip when diversions operate nearby.
Our separate technology article covers digital stop displays. Anyone combining travel with an afternoon cultural programme should also consider the different start times of Ludwig’s language-specific tours.
Before departure, check current directions in the BudapestGO planner or on BKK’s traffic information page. An advance timetable for special services and traffic conditions at the moment of travel provide two different kinds of information.
