EU Code Week aligns digital skills with the AI era

EU Code Week 2026 launches with an online Brussels event on 12 October, connecting coding, critical thinking and the skills needed in an AI-shaped economy.

The European Commission programme says EU Code Week 2026 launches with a Brussels livestream from 14:00 to 16:00 on 12 October. Running from 10 to 25 October, the initiative connects coding, problem-solving and critical thinking with learning and work environments being reshaped by artificial intelligence.

For Hungarian schools, teachers and community organisers, the programme offers an open route to participation and teaching resources, but the event is not a new compulsory curriculum and does not automatically provide funding. EU leaders, educators and the Code4Europe community will discuss how digital skills can be developed more broadly and inclusively.

Our report on Apple and Huxe's AI audio technology covers the business side of technological change, while our European autonomous-vehicle roadmaps show the industrial side. The next measurable evidence will be the number of announced local events, participants and subsequently reported results.
