Hungary revises stages for its small-farm investment call

November and December application windows have been revised, some storage and drying investments excluded from those stages, and the 50% farm-size growth obligation removed.

A notice by Hungary's Common Agricultural Policy Managing Authority sets the third and fourth application stages for small-farm investment support at 17–30 November and 1–14 December. The revision directly affects Hungarian farmers preparing an application under call KAP-RD09a-2-26.

Applications for grain cleaners and dryers, and for the construction, expansion or technological upgrading of crop-storage facilities, cannot be submitted in those two stages. The authority also deleted the obligation, and the related consequence, that required at least 50% growth in farm size by the end of the maintenance period. This is an adopted amendment to the call, not an award decision for any individual applicant.

Our reports on the earlier drought exception and the 2027 budget plan cover different policy frameworks. Applicants now need to check their chosen objective, submission stage and current annexes together. The next material point is the opening of the third stage on 17 November; eligibility must be assessed from the full call documentation.
