Recognised drought-related force majeure has been excluded from the land-exclusion rule linked to three affected years under the AKG agri-environment and ÖKO organic-farming support schemes. The KAP briefing of 17 October explains this; the detailed authority notices were published on 13 October. Hungarian beneficiaries therefore need to compare the amended text for their own commitments with their declarations.
The AKG notice also eases a green-manure commitment. A second crop sown between 1 July and 1 September, properly declared but subsequently unsuccessful, can count as fulfilment under specified conditions. The ÖKO notice separately records the drought exception to exclusion.
The business significance concerns assessment of support obligations: a crop loss and an administrative omission are different matters. A farm’s financial planning should track production performance and expected support settlement separately. We do not certify an individual payment or eligibility on the basis of the announcement.
Our earlier reports on Hungarian production conditions and import-price developments provide business context. Affected farmers should next reconcile the amended call and annexes, land records and the Treasury’s recognition decision; this briefing announces no new general application deadline.
For review, records referring to the same parcel should be kept together. This links the committed activity, the original declaration and the recognised damage event without automatically treating the farm’s other parcels as being in the same position.
