The Philippines’ 2027 Michelin selection was unveiled on 29 October, listing 127 restaurants. For Hungarian readers planning a trip to Southeast Asia, it provides a new reference point, provided restaurant categories and the edition year are distinguished accurately.
According to Michelin’s announcement, the selection comprises one two-star restaurant, nine one-star restaurants, 31 Bib Gourmand venues and 86 Michelin Selected establishments. FLOW in Makati newly received one star. The 2027 label belongs to the guide edition; the announcement took place on 29 October 2026.
The categories can be added up: 1 + 9 + 31 + 86 = 127. There are ten starred restaurants because this counts establishments, not the stars awarded. Bib Gourmand and Selected are separate classifications; including them in the number of starred venues would be misleading.
The first Tianjin selection and new stars in the American South also show why geographical scope and assessment categories matter. A visitor to the Philippines should next compare the individual restaurant listing, menu, booking deposit and cancellation terms. These determine actual dining costs and access; inclusion in the guide does not establish that a table is available. This report covers the publisher’s announcement and makes no claim of a personal restaurant visit.
