The Australian government’s release of 25 October reports the launch of passenger operations at Western Sydney International Airport. Hungarian business travellers and travel organisers need to include onward travel within the city in their route planning alongside the new terminal.
The prime minister’s release identifies a Jetstar flight to the Gold Coast as the first passenger service. The infrastructure department’s timetable announcement says the Auckland link starts on 26 October. The gradual introduction of airline services should therefore be considered separately from the airport’s opening.
According to Transport for NSW, there is no direct train yet, while WSI Link provides a free bus between St Marys station and the airport. For a journey starting in Hungary, this ground segment needs its own travel time and connection buffer. Airfare alone does not describe the full trip cost: onward transport and the terms of any separate bookings also matter.
Our article on the new Turkish railway examines network expansion, while our report on September’s Catania flight suspension covers operational risk. The next announced step is the Auckland service launch. We have verified no specific Hungarian connection or fare. Booking therefore requires matching the actual airport with the local transport route.
