From 1 November, CIB Bank lists a standard annual rate of 7.49% for its Végig FIX housing loan with a term of 11–30 years. Hungarian homebuyers can use the new schedule to compare the bank’s offer with other financing options.
A comparison by BiztosDöntés puts the previous standard rate at 7.99%. Our subtraction gives a reduction of 0.50 percentage points. This is an interest-rate difference; calculating the change in monthly repayments also requires the loan amount and term.
The bank also lists separate discount tiers. For an individual customer, both the applicable tier and the ability to meet its conditions matter. The lowest advertised rate should therefore not automatically be read as a personal offer.
Comparisons should use the same loan amount, term and disbursement method. The annual percentage rate of charge, account-related costs and early-repayment conditions are separate considerations; the interest rate does not identify every amount payable.
We have covered filtering property listings by price limits for home searches and the house-price index for market context. The next practical step is to compare an individual bank offer with the November terms, paying particular attention to the application’s acceptance date. This article is not a personalised loan recommendation.
