A new documentation period has opened for the sale tender of the former Zrínyi cinema: BFVK's live listing says documents are available from November 6. The building at 44 Zrínyi Street in Budapest's District XX has a starting price of HUF 85.8 million plus VAT, with bids due on January 6, 2027, at 10:00.
We checked the listing on November 7; that is the verification date, as the page gives no separate publication timestamp. The seller describes the building's technical condition as poor. Readers following the use of Budapest's municipal assets should therefore consider reuse conditions alongside the advertised price.
The starting price is not the result of a completed sale. In our interpretation, valid bids and the seller's decision will establish the tender's outcome; the price alone does not answer the question of renovation costs. We provide no such cost estimate without an inspection and documentation.
Our report on the land-registry data-service transition provides context for legal and technical due diligence. The housing-construction statistics article concerns a different market: selling an existing cinema building is not the delivery of a new home.
The next specific milestone is the January bid deadline; any eventual sale needs confirmation in a separate results announcement.
The condition description is particularly relevant when considering a possible new use. The listing establishes neither what the eventual use will be nor whether that use can obtain the necessary permissions.
