On 6 November, Google announced the launch of the Analytics Data Manager beta. For Hungarian online shops and advertisers, the issue is understanding where measurement data flows: the release announcement promises one management hub for product links, data streams and first-party data.
The development also includes diagnostic alerts and monitoring of connection health. These are capabilities described by the provider; we have no independent performance test or measured business savings to report.
The detailed help page specifically warns against activating the same data pipeline in both Analytics and the linked advertising interface. Duplication can record conversions twice. Under the documented workflow, existing connections should continue to be managed where they were originally set up.
Our implementation suggestion is a connection inventory: which source sends data to which account, and who is responsible? This can be followed by tracing a known test event. Before adopting a new menu item, this makes it possible to identify which setting would change and which should remain untouched.
The Google Vids update and Slides’ new editing feature likewise require alignment between provider capabilities and local workflows. For Analytics, the next practical step is checking permissions for the organisation’s property and availability of the beta interface. According to the help page, subproperties and roll-up properties currently do not support the new landing page.
