Budapest’s Museum of Fine Arts opens its Gauguin exhibition on 30 October: the official programme lists 150 works, including 80 by Gauguin. Hungarian audiences will be able to encounter the artist’s work and the artistic connections arranged around it within one exhibition.
The Liget Budapest programme page mentions nearly forty lending collections. In the report published on 25 October about an InfoRádió interview, director László Baán emphasised the importance of international loans; the radio conversation itself dates from 21 October.
Using the advertised counts, our calculation is 80 divided by 150, multiplied by 100, or 53.3%: Gauguin’s share of the listed total, rounded to one decimal place. This is a ratio of the programme’s figures, not a measure of the exhibition’s quality or the significance of individual works. The remaining pieces can provide space for wider connections.
When planning a visit, the next practical step is to check opening hours and ticket conditions for the chosen day. The BIFF professional programme discusses films’ international journeys in the same week, while our Müpa family-event report concerned another audience. The museum exhibition opens on Friday; we provide no personal viewing experience or review yet. We read the undated official page on 26 October.
