A sausage-making contest for secondary-school and university students is scheduled for 10 a.m. on 23 October in the Mokry tent at the Csabai Sausage Festival, according to the official rules. The Békéscsaba event offers a practical way to pass on Hungarian culinary traditions. This is an announced programme; no verified result is available yet.
Teams of up to five people work with five kilograms of meat and must include at least one adult. Organisers supply the meat and cleaned casing, while teams bring a manual grinder, stuffer and spices. Preparation therefore involves checking the equipment list as well as the recipe.
The visitor information says purchases from vendors can be paid for with a bank card or a topped-up FestiPay card. The final time for on-site card refunds is 11:59 p.m. on 25 October, so unused balances should be considered separately from the daily spending budget.
