San Diego food festival continues with an industry night

An industry night is scheduled for 2 November as part of the San Diego Food + Wine Festival, according to the organiser’s event calendar. The KPBS event listing also gives 1–8 November as the dates of the California festival.

For Hungary’s hospitality industry, the structure of the programme offers a useful comparison: public-facing gastronomic events are accompanied by a separate opportunity for professional exchange. Such a format is valuable when the experience programme and knowledge sharing reinforce each other while making clear which audience each event serves.

Monday’s Industry Night is hosted at Wormwood in the North Park neighbourhood. The official calendar also lists the SommCon conference and beverage expo for 3–5 November, the next professional component running over several days.

Our earlier article on Hong Kong’s Gourmet Month presented a month-long citywide offering, while the Cartagena tuna festival focused on an event organised around a single ingredient. San Diego provides a point of comparison by combining consumer and professional programmes.

This is programme news, not a restaurant review: we do not report personal attendance or tasting experience. The organiser’s calendar has no unambiguous publication date; 2 November is the date the source was checked. The next announced professional stage is the opening of SommCon on 3 November.
