René Maltête exhibition opens at Mai Manó House

The evening opening on 5 November is followed by regular public access from 6 November. The venue's accessibility information also matters when planning a visit.

René Maltête's exhibition opens at Budapest's Mai Manó House at 6 pm on 5 November, according to the venue's event page. An important timing distinction for Hungarian audiences is that regular exhibition visits start on 6 November and continue until 17 January 2027.

The exhibition, A Tetten ért véletlen, presents 122 vintage photographs. The distinction between the opening and the visiting period is also supported by the October opening-hours notice: the exhibition closure on the first two floors lasts until 5 November. Thursday evening should therefore be treated as a separate event from museum visits planned from Friday.

The exhibition forms part of the programme marking two centuries of French photography. This cultural context helps place the individual photographer's work within the longer Hungarian exhibition season.

The venue says it is not wheelchair accessible. This is as practical a consideration in planning participation as the opening time; our museum education conference article provides professional background on access. The Museum of Ethnography's guided tour illustrates another form of public programme.

The next event is Thursday evening's opening. This is a preview, not a review based on having visited the exhibition.
