70 fény installation runs at City Hall Passage until 4 November

The Budapest memorial programme began on 2 November and can be visited from 5 to 10 pm each evening. Organisers issued a specific warning about the laser light.

The memorial installation 70 fény can be visited at City Hall Passage until 4 November, from 5 to 10 pm each evening. Launched on 2 November, the programme gives Budapest audiences a short, three-day window to see a work connected with remembrance of the 1956 revolution.

The municipality’s 2 November announcement specifically asks visitors not to look into the laser beams or lift children into their path. Families planning a visit should discuss this before setting out.

According to the city programme page, the composition’s seventy light sources relate to the revolution’s seventieth anniversary. The same page lists the outdoor exhibition about the Stalin statue’s history until 5 November, so the two closing dates must be treated separately.

The stated daily duration is five hours; across three evenings, that amounts to fifteen scheduled visiting hours. This is our calculation of duration, not a visitor count or an estimate of on-site traffic. It therefore makes sense to choose a particular evening and plan the return journey separately. On the morning of 3 November, two full evening sessions remain in the announced programme: 3 and 4 November, totalling ten hours. All times are local to Budapest.

Our museum access report addresses a different aspect of cultural participation; the Jankovics exhibition offers another outdoor programme. For the light installation, the next fixed deadline is closure at 10 pm on 4 November. We have not produced an eyewitness account.
