From November 9 to 27, H6 suburban trains will run only between Közvágóhíd and Tököl because of maintenance, BKK announced on November 6. Commuters travelling from the Ráckeve area to Budapest must therefore plan a transfer if they use the affected section.
An H6 replacement bus will operate between Tököl and Ráckeve. The extended bus 697 has a role in serving Horgásztanyák and Angyalisziget; the announcement also specifies an exception for the final overnight replacement bus. Knowing the replacement route generally is therefore insufficient: passengers should check the timetable for their particular stop and departure time.
Our practical conclusion is that the shortened rail route creates different transfer requirements for different passengers. Before departure, plan the entire journey rather than simply finding the familiar HÉV departure. We give no uniform estimate of extra travel time because it depends on the starting point and connection.
The November BKK penalty-fare change provides ticket-use context, while our report on October joint inspections explains inspection practice. Neither changes the replacement route announced here.
The next specific event is the start of the restriction on November 9. Before an affected journey, check BKK and HÉV operator information for the service concerned.
