According to the European Commission’s release of 19 October, around 240 million tonnes of Ukrainian goods have been exported through the Solidarity Lanes since May 2022. For Hungarian logistics and agricultural businesses, the figure describes the scale of the whole route network, not traffic through Hungarian border crossings alone.
The Commission links the aggregate to Ukrainian customs registers. It is a volume accumulated over several years, not a single month’s shipments and not grain alone. The lanes connect rail, road and inland-waterway routes with EU partners.
The source title says September, while the sentence introducing monthly shares says August. We do not resolve that discrepancy by assumption: we omit the monthly percentages and report the cumulative volume separately. This is our processing and translation of European Commission information.
Our report on Hungary’s transit condition concerns a separate political statement; our trade-value report uses a different unit. Revenue or profit cannot be calculated from tonnes without product prices, charges and costs. A Hungarian freight forwarder still needs a concrete route, capacity, destination and contract before making a business decision. The next verifiable developments may be clarification of the month label and a further Commission data release.
