UNHCR and IOM warned on November 6 that funding shortages threaten Sudan's emergency shelter stocks. Their joint statement identifies urgent needs for 15.4 million people and assistance delivered to 936,000 so far. For Hungarian readers following international aid, these are different measures reported by the aid agencies.
A separate Médecins Sans Frontières report of September 8 documented clinic closures in Sudan caused by reduced funding. This provides earlier healthcare context, not an independent assessment of November shelter stocks or the figures above.
In our interpretation, needs, planned assistance and support actually delivered are separate measurement levels. A funding pledge does not establish that supplies have reached people in need. Nor does this appeal establish a Hungarian government commitment or its amount; we make no such claim.
We have also covered verifiable conditions for post-crisis recovery in the call for an environmental damage assessment in Lebanon. The EU crisis-preparedness guide illustrates a different, European context for public information. These are not Sudan situation reports; they provide broader background on the quality of assistance and information.
The next substantive development would be documentation of new funding and the actual replenishment of stocks. The current appeal records an urgent need, not a completed resupply.
