  1. The 30 September global close review shows the BUX down 1.18% and the Dow down 0.86%, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.24%. Micron’s primary after-hours release reported a record year and a USD 61.5 billion midpoint for next-quarter revenue.

  2. The FTC is investigating OpenAI and Anthropic, but the scope is not public and no wrongdoing has been established. For Hungarian companies, vendor due diligence, auditability and human oversight are the practical issues.

  3. After our background on Micron’s 512 GB module, the company’s 30 September results quantify AI-memory demand: quarterly revenue reached USD 54.23 billion. This is company data; pricing and capacity signals are the next items to watch in Europe.

  4. Our comparison of three Hungarian half-year reports shows that similar revenue growth can coexist with very different operating profit, net income and cash flow. Hungarian retail investors therefore need to separate financing and tax effects from the core business.

  5. After the upward revision to UK GDP, US manufacturing takes focus today. The official ISM calendar schedules the September PMI for 10:00 ET on 1 October; it is a future release, not a known result.
